I heard about this artist on NPR on the way to school, Justin Gignac who boxes trash and sells it as art, believing that packaging has much to do with our idea of what quality is. He also makes paintings of things he wants, and trades them in for what he desired, such as pizza.

Interesting. There is also an artist named Piero Manzoni who cans his own feces and sells it for its weight in gold.
